To celebrate and honor Earth Day, the Rainforest Foundation invites you and your family to join our annual event to Protect Our Planet. Our event is free to the public from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesday, April 19th, featuring flying mini-drones, sign making for the March for Science & People’s Climate March, writing postcards to your representatives, snacks, recycling wireless cell phones, environmental activities for kids, Rainforests photography exhibition, and films telling personal stories of indigenous peoples as they battle to protect their lives, their cultures and our forests.
5 - 6pm - Environmental activities for kids: origami, make an earthman, learn about recycling and more.
6-8pm - Fly a drone over indigenous lands, document cultural sites, pinpoint deforestation, make sure miners don’t pollute your river. Make posters for the science and climate march, send letters to congress.
8-8:45pm - If Not US Then Who watch award winning shorts about indigenous communities in the rainforest around the world.
